Meghan Kelly
Edinboro senior goalkeeper Meghan Kelly was selected to the Capital One Academic All-America Division II team.
Kelly has had all A’s during her four-year career, maintaining a perfect 4.00 G.P.A. as an early childhood and special education major. She is now a two-time Capital One District 2 Academic All-American and a three-time PSAC and Edinboro Scholar-Athlete.
Kelly also enjoyed great success on the field, and recently earned All-PSAC third team honors.
She holds many of Edinboro’s goalkeeping records while helping Edinboro to four straight appearances in the PSAC tournament and three NCAA playoff berths.
She holds school records for career wins (41) and shutouts (21), ranking 10th in PSAC history. Her career 1.03 goals-against average is second all-time at Edinboro. She finished with a 41-23-7 career record while starting 70 matches, and also holds the school record for minutes in goal (6,497). She finished second in career saves with 300. In addition, she holds three of the top six goals against average figures in a season.
Kelly led Edinboro this past season to a 10-7-2 finish, recording a 1.02 GAA (sixth-best in Edinboro history in a single season) and four shutouts.
