Kaiser, Elia provide key minutes for D-I soccer programs

A pair of Mercyhurst Prep graduates are earning valuable playing time for Division I women’s soccer programs.

Cleveland State sophomore forward Sarah Kaiser has scored two goals and added an assist for five points in 12 games with the Vikings this season. She scored two goals and finished with four points her freshman season.

In high school, Kaiser was the Lakers’ all-time leader in goals (105) and assists (74).

Cleveland State is 7-6-2 overall and 2-2-1 in the Horizon League heading into Saturday’s match against the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Providence junior forward/midfielder Lauren Elia has played in 10 games and recorded one assist for the Friars (6-6-2 overall, 2-3-0 Big East).

Elia had eight points on three goals and two assists last season after scoring four goals her freshman year.
